Purdue Universitiy Service Learning Opportunity


 

HORIZONS will be traveling to Costa Rica May 12 - June 1, 2013 in an effort to increase the number of students from first generation and income eligible backgrounds who study abroad at Purdue University








Students will have an opportunity to:

  • Spend three weeks in San José, Costa Rica
  • Earn 3 credits for EDPS 49000: Horizons Service Learning Experience
  • Complete 40 hours of community service in a placement related to their major
  • Enjoy cultural excursions to Carago and Monteverde
  • Live in home stays with local residents
  • Bond with other Horizons participants!

Rosa Villarreal, Horizons Director and Ryan Favors, Program Specialist will lead the Service Learning  Abroad Experience. We are excited to present this blog to you in hopes that you will experience this adventure alongside our wonderful students.
